MEET THE FOUNDER

Hi, I’m Abbey, the founder of 12th and Hemlock.

I’m a Pennsylvania girl with a love for small towns, family traditions, timeless style, and the nostalgia of growing up on the East Coast.

My love for retail began years ago while working in a children’s consignment shop, where I discovered my passion for merchandising, curating collections, and creating a memorable shopping experience.

What started as a dream of owning my own boutique has grown into something more: a lifestyle brand inspired by the places, people, and memories that have shaped me.

12th and Hemlock is a little piece of everything I love, and I hope you find something here that feels just as special to you.

OUR STORY BEHIND THE NAME

Two places. A lifetime of memories.

12th and Hemlock was named after two places that shaped my childhood, each with its own traditions, familiar comforts, and memories I’ll carry forever.

12th Street — Avalon, New Jersey

My Pop and Grandmom’s beach house, where so many of my childhood summers were spent. Days at the beach, salty air, sun-faded afternoons, and the familiar excitement of returning to the same little shore town every summer.

The kind of place where generations of family memories are made, and where even the simplest traditions become the ones you treasure most.

Hemlock Drive — Pennsylvania

My PapPap and Grandma’s home in the mountains. A place of towering trees, campfires, crisp mornings, and weekends spent with family. Where time seemed to move a little slower, and there was always something special about being together.

Two different places, connected by the same feeling of belonging.

Together, they became 12th and Hemlock.

Our name is a reminder of where we come from, the people who shape us, and the memories that make ordinary places extraordinary.

It’s that same sense of nostalgia and familiarity that inspires everything we do.
